The Fiber Art Society
Crafting creativity together
What is The Fiber Art Society?
Founded in Norfolk, Virginia in 2024, The Fiber Art Society is a community built around one simple idea: crafting creativity together.
After two years of creating, collaborating, and connecting through fiber art in Norfolk, The Fiber Art Society is expanding to Baltimore, MD. Beginning Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 12–2 PM, TFAS will meet at R.House in the Remington neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland.
Our meetings are a space to bring your current project, try something new, meet other fiber artists, or simply spend a couple of hours making alongside other people. All fiber artists and makers are welcome, from beginners to experienced artists, and you do not need to be an expert to participate.
*Registration is required to attend each meeting.
**TFAS Norfolk is still active! If you're in the Norfolk, VA area and would like to attend meetings or get involved with local projects, follow @thefiberartsocietyNFK for meeting dates and updates.
***One important note: TFAS meetings are not crochet classes. They are community meetups where members can work on their own projects, share knowledge, and connect with other makers. If you're looking to learn how to crochet or would like a private crochet lesson, please DM @thefiberartsociety for information about upcoming lessons and pricing.
